Many college admissions representatives visit Southern California in the spring and fall to help you better understand what their universities offer in the way of academics, social offerings, and campus life. If you are interested in specific colleges, research whether or not those colleges are hosting receptions in your geographical area. By attending, you are "demonstrating interest" in your school(s) of choice. Attend a meeting, bring some specific questions, and meet the rep. who might be reading your application.
